Blasi Jacobi began her fitness journey as a way to get in shape after the birth of her first son. After her first group exercise session, she immediately got hooked on the energy and camaraderie of the fitness community.

Today, Jacobi is a celebrity fitness trainer and a personal and group instructor. For the past three years, Jacobi has brought her infectious spirit to International Market Place, leading Fabletics’ HIIT classes, which are free and open to the public.

After each session, she unwinds by perusing International Market Place’s selection of stores. Below, find Jacobi’s favorite places to shop and dine.

BLASI’S PICKS

#1

For a Healthy Treat: Kona Coffee Purveyors
“This is a place that knows what vegan is. When I asked how I could make my latte vegan, they knew exactly what I wanted. Plus, they have a delicious vegan chocolate cake!”

#2

For a Self-Care Outing: DryBar
“Perfect for a solo self-care day or a day out with the girls. I love the vibe of this place. Cocktails are optional, but are always delicious.”

#3

For Fitness Essentials: Fabletics
“Honestly, the cutest, most comfortable and most affordable workout attire. And the fact that they have a men’s line is a bonus!”

For a quick HIIT workout, Jacobi recommends these three exercises that’ll get your heart pumping. Perform one movement for 30 seconds, resting for another 30 seconds before moving on to the next exercise.

Do all three exercises to perform one circuit. Repeat each circuit three to five times, resting one minute between circuits.

Squat Jumps

Start low in a squat position and jump up before landing gently on the balls of your feet.

Mountain Climbers

From a plank position, drive your knees up towards your chest, making sure to keep your core engaged and your hips steady.

Lateral Jumps

Starting from a squat position, use your right foot to propel your body up and to the left. Land gently on the ball of your feet, then let your heels fall to the floor. Rest for a moment before doing the same motion towards the left.
